CCC Celebrates Youth Festival for Mercy

Aira L. Perez, 10 – St. Aloysius Gonzaga

Cainta Catholic College held its first Youth Festival for Mercy, organized by the Christian Formation Department, to inspire the students to spread mercy and compassion towards others and hopefully to enrich their faith, with the theme "Pagdiriwang ng mga Mukha ng Awa". This overnight activity was held last November 11-12, 2016, from 3 PM to 6 AM at the CCC Gymnasium.

On-the-spot contests for picture essay writing, anecdotal writing, t-shirt designing, painting, and fruit carving were commenced at the start of the program. A Eucharistic Celebration led by Fr. Mark Anthony Ramos was then held to initiate the opening of the festival, and was then followed by testimonies from several individuals who have experienced the grace and mercy of God. There were also various activities and performances from the students, expressing the ways of God's mercy through transcreation, role play, dance interpretation, and speech choir.

The Youth Festival for Mercy ended with a message of gratitude from Mrs. Lerma S. Fernandez, our High School Principal, for a successful evening that may open new doors of opportunity for the students of Cainta Catholic College to grow closer to our Lord.
